Exploring My Logo: The Symbolism of Flight, Wine, and Boats

If you look at my logo you may be wondering why there is an airplane perched on top of an anchor that has a wine glass centered in the middle. It’s pretty simple really- if it flies, floats, or ferments….I’m in. As a retired airline pilot I had the opportunity to fly the Queen of the Skies. I spent over 10,000 hours in the mighty 747 Jumbo Jet. I also flew the DC-8 early in my career and finished off on the 777, a retirement job of an airplane. Moving down the logo, wine is one of my passions. I am a Certified Wine Educator and teach wine classes on an ad hoc basis. My certifications also include WSET level 3, in addition to Sommelier certificates from two other schools. That leaves us with the anchor- quite obvious in the context of this website. So now you know a little more about me and who I am. Salut….
